Band instruments belong in two families:
Woodwinds include Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon and Saxophone
Brass include Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn, Trombone and Trumpet
There is also Percussion, which consists of primarily keyboard percussion

Welcome to the Tom Cox Band! If your student wants to be in band, but has not had an interview, we will be placing 5th graders (and 6th graders who transferred from another district) in the first few days of school, during their school-day Fine Arts time.
Please be looking for instrument supply sheets to come home.
Please do NOT purchase any supplies before your student has been placed on an instrument, and take the supply sheet to the music store with you. Thanks!
PERCUSSION INFO: If your child is interested in interviewing for Percussion, you must sign up for a slot on Saturday May 3rd, to first select a non-percussion and non-saxophone instrument
in case you are not selected for Percussion.
Parents, at that point, there will be information about a separate Percussion Interview on May 7.
